Salvar el fuego

Marina Ojeda is a celebrated choreographer with a comfortable marriage and three children — until an accident brings her face-to-face with a young man from Mexico City's most violent margins, and she is drawn into an obsessive, transformative love. Winner of the 2020 Premio Alfaguara de Novela, Salvar el fuego moves between two irreconcilable worlds of privilege and survival with visceral, poetic force. Screenwriter and novelist Guillermo Arriaga (Amores perros, Babel) delivers a sweeping story about violence, desire, and the redemptive power of love.
